Kelly Sigler Patterson, Workshop and Treasure Trail Prize Ride

9:00AM – 12:00PM Workshop: Trail safety, Spook and Survive
Kelly will review Spook and Survive for trail safety with scary obstacles and scenarios on the ground and then take it to the saddle. In addition you will participate in numerous trail simulations. And have the opportunity to develop the skills you need to go over a small jump with confidence.
12:00PM Each team receives location data, location card values, and general trail map. Plan your team strategy and ride over lunch. Bring your own lunch.
1:00PM – 4:00PM Treasure Trail Ride
Experience guidelines:
- Easy: Safe on trail in small groups. Gentle hills, mostly soft footing. May need to dismount.
- Intermediate: Includes all of the Easy guidelines plus riding on public roads and near cars. Steeper hills. Varied road and trail conditions. Possible water crossing.
- Advanced: Includes all of the Easy and Intermediate guidelines. Technical trails, possibly a little bush whacking. Steepest grades. May require speed to get to farthest locations with the highest point values. May encounter challenging terrain.
1:00PM Rider teams go out in 5 minute intervals. Advanced teams first. Last team out no later than 1:45PM

5:00PM BBQ Dinner!
Cost: $200 Workshop and Treasure Trail Ride and BBQ, including day stall for your horse, with hay and shavings. You are responsible to maintain and strip your stall. Turn out may be available, but not guaranteed.
Treasure Trail Ride and BBQ only. $50. No stall.
Auditors: $25
Overnight accommodations: $30 per person per day of a shared bunkroom or camping/camper/trailer.
Overnight horse accommodations: $30 per horse per night
