Kelly Sigler Patterson, Biomechanics Stage III: Putting it to Purpose With Obstacles Workshop
August 23, 2014 @ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Put your Rider Biomechanics skills to purpose with ACTHA style obstacles in the play area. Develop your horse’s confidence by first playing with the obstacles online with natural horsemanship concepts and techniques. Then when you and your horse are confident, you will try the obstacles mounted in a safe and secure riding position.
Learn the correct biomechanically position to walk, trot and canter over cavaletti; spiral in and out of a star pattern; back through an L; how to make precise corners; drag an object behind your horse; trot a weave pattern; walk through a labyrinth; and so much more.
This workshop is open to anyone who wants to have better balance, a deeper seat and a more effective riding position. You do not need to be studying Natural Horsemanship to benefit from this workshop, but would be helpful if you have an understanding of the principles.
